National Marine Corps War Memorial

I went to Natioan Museum of Marine corps, so I want to introduce National Marine Corps War Memorial becasue it is related to the Museum. for this reason, I went to National Marine Corps War Memorial. It is located near Arlington National Cemetery. Also, it is really closed with Grave of John F. Kennedy. I visited all of them.

In the picture, there are five marines and one navy who are holding the natioanl flag of the U.S. According to the story, this picture gave hope and dream to Americans.

National Marine Corps War Memorial, it is called Iwo Jima Memorial.
The explanation of the memorial copied from internet

The Marine Corps War Memorial stands as a symbol of this grateful Nation's esteem for the honored dead of the U.S. Marine Corps
While the statue depicts one of the most famous incidents of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in the defense of the United States since 1775.
The small island of Iwo Jima lies 660 miles south of Tokyo. One of its outstanding geographical features is Mount Suribachi, an extinct volcano that forms the narrow southern tip of the island and rises 550 feet to dominate the area. By February 1945, U.S. troops had recaptured most of the territory taken by the Japanese in 1941 and 1942; still uncaptured was Iwo Jima, which became a primary objective in American plans to bring the Pacific campaign to a successful conclusion.

I write address of the memorial

I was a Korean Marine

There is the National Museum of Marine corps in Virginia.

It takes 40 min to drive from my home to the museum.

The museum was very amazing. I was a Korean Marine,

I am rallly proud of myself becasue of a marine.

Many U.S marines who have sacrificed for the U.S died in honor.

I really respect them because they had differnt patriotism for the U.S.

When I got there, I felt their patriotism and bravery.

I also have patriotism. I think I have more than other people because I worked for 3 years for my country as a marine.

I hope my country have a natioanl museum of Korean marines as the U.S marines.

The National Museum of the Marine Corps

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is the new historical museum of the United States Marine Corps. It is located in Quantico, Virginia and is free to the public. The museum had its grand opening on November 10, 2006 and is now the number one tourist attraction in Virginia Drawing over 500,000 people annually. On the day it was opened, President George W. Bush came to give a dedication and to also present the family of fallen Marine Jason Dunham the Medal of Honor.
President Bush: "These walls remind all who visit here that honor, courage, and commitment are not just words. They are core values for a way of life that puts service above self. And these walls will keep the history of the Marine Corps alive for generations of Americans to come.
Designed by Fentress Architects, the exterior design is meant to "evoke the image of the flag raisers of Iwo Jima," an image that is also preserved by the USMC War Memorial. The 100,000-square-foot (9,300 m2) museum is a tribute to the U.S. Marines who have served their country since 1775.
The new museum replaces the Marine Corps Historical Center, in the Washington Navy Yard, which closed 1 July 2005, and the Marine Corps Air-Ground Museum, in Quantico, Virginia, which closed on 15 November 2002.
The museum is a public-private venture, a cooperative effort of the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. The Foundation manages the museum operation, while the museum building will be donated to the Marine Corps.

A Hospital in the United States

My wife is three months pregnant, so my wife and I go to a hospital for checking once a month.

It is required to make an appointment before going to a hospital. This is very uncomfortable to me because it takes sometimes. They directly talk me about the day and time of an appointment. They usually ask me a lot of questions and then they connect me other phone line and then I have to give them imformation about my wife again then ask me same questions. I do not know why they are doing every month.

In South Korea, I think anytime is available to meet Drs except lunch time.

I do not need to make an appointment that is vey comfortable to me.

Anyway, some of system in administration of a hospital are really different.
